ABGW - Amazing, Brilliant, Gorgeous, Wonderful
From struggle to strength, with care you can feel.
ABGW stands for Amazing, Brilliant, Gorgeous, Wonderful. ABGW helps women who feel “not quite happy” in a life that looks good on paper move from survival mode to self-led strength, with practical tools, gentle humour, and zero fluff.
ABGW is Amazing, Brilliant, Gorgeous, Wonderful: A Trauma-Aware Project by Cheryl Paris. I work with women who feel misaligned in a life that’s “fine” but not fulfilling. Through conversations, coaching prompts, and small doable practices, I help you move from constant coping to steady, self-led living. Gentle where it matters, firm where it counts, always respectful of your pace.
The names in shared stories have been changed to protect the privacy of individuals. Experiences are drawn from real events and are offered for reflection and education, not as medical or psychological advice. If you feel distressed, step away and seek appropriate support. Safety first. More information: https://herguru.uk/disclaimers

In this thought-provoking episode of ABGW, join Cheryl Paris as she presents a unique approach to navigating the chaos of daily life through a quick and effective disassociation technique. If you often feel smart, capable, yet secretly exhausted, this episode is designed for you.
Cheryl invites you to envision a scenario where multiple cameras are capturing your experience, each providing a different perspective. This imaginative exercise encourages you to tune into your body, evaluate the clarity of your interactions, and identify core values to embody in your future meetings. By naming your sensations, reflecting on the dynamics of your environment, and selecting a guiding principle, you can cultivate a sense of control amidst the storm.
Throughout the episode, Cheryl emphasises the importance of grounding yourself in the present moment and taking actionable steps towards clarity and steadiness. She reassures you that it’s perfectly acceptable to seek professional support when feeling overwhelmed, reminding you that every small action contributes to a more balanced future.

Welcome to ABGW. Amazing, brilliant, gorgeous, wonderful, five mindful minutes for your real life, not your imaginary perfect one. If you're smart, capable, and secretly exhausted, you're in the right place. Okay, you're waiting for the dust to settle, and it sounds sensible until the desk the dust never settles, does it? I want you to try this quick uh what I call a disassociation. Um I call it um a quick multi-camera thing. Um I find it really useful when I work with clients, and I want you to imagine that you're in a situation and there's multiple cameras at you pointing at you, okay. Now these remember these cameras are here to help you, okay, so you can relax in this moment. Camera one is the first person, your body now. I want you to name three sensations that you can feel in your body quietly now. I want you to imagine camera two, it's on a balcony somewhere. Imagine watching a meeting back from the back of the room. What were the goals here? Was there clarity? Was there a fair process? What's the next step? Camera view camera three. I want you to imagine a camera that has a policy view. Did it map everything that it should map? All the standards? Which element did it squeeze? Did it squeeze demand, control, support, relationships, role or change? Just one word only. I want you to pick one value you want to embody in your next meeting, whether it's clarity, steadiness, respect, and then one sentence you might use. An example might be for clarity, could we confirm the scope and the next steps? You can choose to practice your sentence once.
SPEAKER_00:Slowly excel, feel grounded. That's a step you control today, not after the storm. These series of works that I'm doing is about keeping the pieces together that work and repeating them until your system trusts them. That's it for today.
SPEAKER_01:If you're feeling unsafe or overwhelmed, please reach out for appropriate professional support, including myself, because you're allowed help. Because every step you take, no matter how small, is a step towards a brighter, more balanced future. Trust in your journey and remember, progress is progress no matter the pace.
