Hosted by Cheryl Paris, clinical hypnotherapist and stress recovery coach, this show offers practical tools, grounded insight, gentle humour, and nervous-system-aware support for women who manage teams, lead services, run businesses, or quietly carry more than they should.

Each episode explores the hidden cost of keeping it together: overthinking, sleep disruption, emotional load, workplace pressure, boundaries, burnout risk, and the private exhaustion behind “I’m fine.”

Throughout the episode, Cheryl emphasises the importance of consistency over dramatic efforts, explaining how small, repeatable actions can help rewire your nervous system and reduce stress. Safety, Support, And Steady Progress
SPEAKER_00Welcome to ABGW. Amazing, brilliant, gorgeous, wonderful, five mindful minutes for your real life, not your imaginary perfect one. If you're smart, capable, and secretly exhausted, you're in the right place. Okay, welcome back. If it helps, imagine value as proof, not drama. One of the things you're really going to love about step-size change is how it shows up in just really boring ordinary moments you actually live through. The tone you pick in the review, the boundary you hold in the follow-up. And experience shows that consistency rewires stress faster than heroic pushes and then crashes. It's one of the reasons why I completely rethought the podcast and thought, what is going to make the biggest difference in the smallest amount of time? So for me, it was small means repeatable, and repeatable is what your nervous system trusts. I want you to try this 60-second reframe before you walk into any meeting today. I want you to ask what would meaningfully mean sorry, I'll start again. What would meaningful progress look like by say Friday if it arrived in three minutes a day? And I want you to jot down one behavior, it could be slowly exhaling in questions or glancing at notes before you answer, or it might even be asking for an agenda first. I want you to choose one thing. It doesn't matter what it is. You choose, and then you can choose to measure by outcome how you feel. Is it a steadier pulse, a clearer voice, less spiraling after meetings? That's value. That's it for today. Next time, my situation is too complicated. That won't work for me, Cheryl. We'll make it fit your reality. If you're feeling unsafe or overwhelmed, please reach out for appropriate professional support, including myself, because you're allowed help. Because every step you take, no matter how small, is a step towards a brighter, more balanced future. Trust in your journey and remember progress is progress no matter the pace.
