This is ABGW. Amazing, brilliant, gorgeous, wonderful. Five minutes to reset work stress with me, Cheryl Paris. We keep it human, practical, and a little wiry, but take what helps and leave the rest. You're right. Policy, workloads, restructures, they all matter. A three-minute reset won't rewrite HR, but it gives your hands something to do, maybe keep them on the wheel while you're driving the bigger changes. I remember during an investigation process years ago, the system was a system. What I remember doing is remembering that I could change my state. They kept me clear enough to ask, or I should say that kept me clear enough to ask for minutes, clarify scope, request a support person. All aligned with ACAS processes, zero drama. But the thing is, state came first, state made structure doable. What do I mean by that? Structurally and personally are not rivals, they're a ladder. There's the bottom run where your physiology, where there's there's the bottom run, which is where your physiology and your tension is, and then there's the top runs, which are policy and culture. When the bottom holds, you can reach higher without falling. What I've noticed is that teams who run tiny state rituals see fewer flare-ups, clearer decisions, and better follow-throughs. The boring stuff that shifts culture over months, not minutes. What do I mean by that? I mean, so many of us work in organizations, either our you know, we're entrepreneurs ourselves or we're leaders in other in other places where we you know we have the mission statement, but how often does anyone actually follow it? We have the vision statement, but how often is it followed? You know, we have the organizational objectives, but how often is it followed? And to me, it's it's almost about forgetting the the big stuff, it's about going right back down the run, right back down to the bottom, and dealing with what you should be doing on the button on the bottom runs, which is your physiology and your attention. So, what can we do? We can do that ladder reset, we can imagine zooming your view out, maybe to another meter, noticing your breath slowing and your shoulders dropping, choosing clear, saying for the record, I'm requesting clarity on the role, the timelines, who's accountable, and for what decisions today. We can go at the right pace, the right distance for you, and you can repeat or soften this later. Another task that you might want to do I love this while you're sitting in your chair, you can email with one line purpose for tomorrow's meeting that you're in. Email yourself the proposed outcome, agree owner and next two actions. That culture, that one sentence at a time, you'll be surprised how creating these state changes will change for you. Okay, that's enough for today. Last up, I'm an introvert. Going first isn't in me. Okay, good. But steady Trump's loud. Now if you feel unsafe or overwhelmed, please don't white knuckle it. Speak to your GP or your organization's support or a qualified professional like myself. Because every step you take, no matter how small, is a step towards a brighter, more balanced future. Trust in your journey and remember progress is progress no matter the pace. Bye for now.
