ABGW is Amazing, Brilliant, Gorgeous, Wonderful: A Trauma-Aware Project by Cheryl Paris. I work with women who feel misaligned in a life that’s “fine” but not fulfilling. Through conversations, coaching prompts, and small doable practices, I help you move from constant coping to steady, self-led living. Gentle where it matters, firm where it counts, always respectful of your pace.

Embracing Stillness: The Key to Genuine Connections

Hey there, wonderful listeners! Welcome back to another enlightening episode of ABGW, where we take a moment to breathe amidst the chaos of our busy lives. I’m Cheryl, your guide on this journey of self-discovery, and today we're diving into the profound power of connection—specifically, the art of slowing down and truly being present.
In this episode, we reflect on the timeless tradition of letter writing during the two world wars, where heartfelt messages traversed vast distances, carrying with them love, grief, and hope. Imagine trusting a simple piece of paper to convey your deepest emotions for months on end—what a contrast to our fast-paced digital communication today! Have we lost the essence of connection in our quest for speed? Let’s explore what it truly means to show up for one another.
As we navigate through our busy lives, it’s easy to forget that connection is not just about sending a quick text or an email; it's about the intention behind our words and the stillness we cultivate within ourselves. It’s a reminder that resilience is not about pushing through but about finding strength in moments of pause.
Join me as we uncover how slowing down and taking the time to write can soften our hearts and deepen our connections. This week, I challenge you to reach out to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while—no agenda, no apologies, just a heartfelt message. Dust off that fountain pen or special writing instrument and let the ink flow in a way that typing never could.
Next time, we’ll tackle the myth of being connected in our digital age and why sometimes, Wi-Fi doesn’t equate to true connection. Remember, every small step you take is a step towards a brighter, more balanced future. Trust your journey, and let’s embrace the beauty of connection together.
